Well, I made a mistake. The four chariots in Zechariah 6:1-8 have very little to do with an apocalypse (see the previous post). The vision is not about an apocalyptic end-time war, but security in times of vulnerability, when the world around us has gone scary uncertain.

This is the message from God that Zechariah and the post-exilic community in Jerusalem needed from God. It is also the message you and I need to hear in our world of global and national uncertainties. I plan to talk more about this as the week progresses, Lord willing and the river doesn’t freeze. In the meantime, “blessed is he that trusts in the Lord.”
